Am I correct on this?

When a digital phone is making a SIP trunk call, one MGI channel is used.

When an SMT VOIP phone is making a SIP trunk call, two MGI channels are used.

You're right only if mps is switched off. If it's on then no mgi channels are used.
Thanks Nameless.

If MPS is turned on, then we have to have different ports fowarded on the firewall for the remote phones. Is it 40,000 and up instead of 30,000 and up?

Thanks,

You will need both sets.

30000-30015, 40000-40031, 45000-45031
MGi, mps & rtg (4.60 and higher for rtg) respectively.
