I'm guessing you mean update the cpld version. You will have to send our back to Samsung. It requires a special cable and software to do it.

I'm putting in a 7100 this month, but it could be the last one, I've been selling hosted VOIP for $27 a dial tone per month with no KSU on site. Its getting rare that I propose a system any more, Samsung should be selling hosted VOIP.

That's what the scm is aimed at. You put one in a datacenter with sip trunks and then sell your own hosted voip.
