Other than the price, what is the big difference between an OAS and MGI64. Looks like I get the same number of channels for IP phones. Thanks.

If memory serves me correctly, you don't need to buy licenses for the OAS but you do for the MGI 64.

You don't need licenses for either. The big difference is the OAS supports MPS, the MGI does not.

Also the OAS is only 16 MGI channels. So depending on the application that you are trying to do. An MGI 64 is a lot of channels for a system. Normally you wouldn't need that many. What's the scenario you got?

Hmmm. I'll have to back through some invoices, I'm pretty sure I got bamboozled into buying MGI licenses for an OS7400 with MGI 64's.

No, the MGI64 comes with 64 set MGI channels. It's an overkill card honestly.

Biztel, quoting a 7400 with 30 digital sets, pri, and may have about 5-10 remote IP phones in the future. So looks like the OAS is the way to go. Thanks all.

Have you looked into doing that with a 7200? You will drop the price and be able to expand for even less than a 7400 would. The 7200 would be able to accommodate all of that and more.
