Anyone out there have any experience with a Samsung 7000 platform with sip trunks behind a Sophos Firewall. Not going well for us. Direct calls to a DID only get one way audio. All standard port forwarding is confirmed. Weird
I've got 2 scmc's behind these.
They're a bit of a pain. Make sure you turn off the sip nat helper (sip alg).
Are you doing any masquerading to a specific public ip address?
We do have (1) Main public IP with a sipher block. But not using the sipher block IP's to the phone system. Pretty sure my guys have turned off (sip alg), but i will double check. We placed the Sonicwall firewall back in and everything is working good. My IT department wants to start implementing the Sophos product, but seems like they are two stringent on the firewall side of things.
You can do a tcpdump from the console of the sophos. This will show you what's received/sent from/to the system and the internet.
