I have an odd one. 7400 running 4.98 with an svmi20i.

Full auto attendant. When calling in and hitting 0 it transfers to the reception station group 5101, all the caller hears is dead air then eventually it goes to the general mailbox. When dialing 5101 from the AA, same result. When dialing an actual extension, then the caller hears ringing.

I’ve checked the supervision levels and everything looks good. Not sure where to look past that. Tried comparing it with known working system and with my own lab system and can't duplicate it here.

Any help would be fantastic!

Cheers,

Sounds like either transfer moh is turned off, or the moh isn't working

Make sure the MOH cord that's plugged into the MIS is Mono and not Stereo.

clip your buttset to the moh cord connector and if you hear music then input is good you could also have someone put you on hold . If you hear music follow what nameless stated . if it was a stero plug it should have 2 leads , one left and one right input . Nameless is the pro as far as samsung on this forum .

It is only an issue for calls going through voicemail. Ext- ext transfers are fine and standard hold work fine.

Look for trasnfer ringback moh and turn it to on in mmc 210.

Also make sure you have the moh ports programmed for the vm ports as well.

Okie to the rescue again!

I don't quite understand how enabling the transfer ring back MOH would let the caller now hear the ringing, but it does.....

Thank you my friend!

MMC: 210 | 06 TRANSFER MOH:OFF

When this option is turned ON outside parties will hear trunk MOH
instead of ringback tone from the time a transfer is completed until
the call is answered by an internal party. System default is OFF.

If you think this through you will see why OFF is default.
If the setting were reversed and the system didn't have a MOH source,
then the caller would hear SILENCE and probably hang-up call

Ah, yes. that does makes sense, and also explains an issue I've had on systems that have had the MOH die and complain of the silence.

Thanks!!!
