Hihi

Our old 7030 was in disuse for quite some time as we had issues I could not resolve (I simply did not have the knowledge). After a lot of reading and improving my skill set I got the old thing working again after I rewired everything (and plugged the correct lines into the correct ports blush). It worked great for a few months...From what I can tell, with info on this forum, our OfficeServ 7030 is now stuck in a boot loop after a few power-related incidents. All digital handsets are showing version information on screens and clicks every few seconds. Such fun.

Incoming calls on CO1 etc still ring to the seemingly programmed SLT1 and SLT2 ports where we have a voice box installed that answers the calls, plays a pre-recorded message and transfers the calls to the 7030 on 701/EXT1 etc where we use digital handsets. As a stop gap I have routed the two SLT ports to analog phones so that we can be operational again. This is obviously not ideal.

According to a technical bulletin I got my hands on (no thanks to the local Samsung) I need to get my hands on some firmware and then load that via the SIO port. I am dead set to do just that - where does one get your hands on the needed firmware?

Also, is it normal for the PBX to present symptoms of being stuck in a boot loop (version info on handset) but still routing the incoming calls to the SLT1 ports?

No if the system won't boot .

you could have a power supply problem, certain components must have been subjected to over-voltage. Have experienced that on several OS7030/7070 and once they are fixed the pbx starts working again

odds are this system is >4.93. Power interruptions on older than that will corrupt the linux file system on the nand. We were sending our bad systems with this problem off to get repaired, however I found a way to connect to the serial port on the motherboard and recover them back to working condition and update them to 4.93 in the process. PM me if you need help with this.

I'm sure you meant < 4.93 .You are replying to a 3 month old thread that the Op hasn't visited the site since posting the problem

yes, I did mean that. OP doesn't get email notifications?

Don't know if they do or not but they haven't checked in here since they posted the thread.
