Hey Guys/Gals thanks in advance for any help on this.
Current Setup
Have a 7200s with 8 digital phones in the church office and 6 smti6021's via fiber over to a little house that the church bought, The issue is feedback on the IP handsets while on an outside line. The customer speaks into the handset and hears themselves repeat what they just said to their customer. No issue from the receiving end.The customer on the 6021 sometimes reports "echo" on the handset. This "echo" seeems to be more of feedback than an echo. This only happens when on a telco line. intercom calls have no issue. The digital phones, have no issue's when they are on the line. I was told by tech support to change the dual filter ec mode to 8dkt2. But still have the issue. Customer has 6 onboard mgi license with v4.99 sw and ver 1.40 on the ip sets. A system reboot will often resolve the issue for a few days, but then comes back.
Has anyone else ran into this.

You need to change the trunk echo settings in 5.2.16

that is what I have used to fix 3 phone system using the SMT IP phones.
adjust the Daul filter EC I have most of them set to disable

8trk2 is the default. You need to change it to something else. I only ever had this issue on 1 os7100 with 4.8x i think it was.
Apparently Korea couldn't replicate this issue which is likely why it still happens in 4.99
