We've got a 5 site install using SPnet on a VPN.
It had been working fine.

Customer is changing firewall equipment to Sonicwall
Now we have a situation where some sites can call some other sites but not all sites.
This is internal to internal.

We've complained that it was working till they put the new Sonicall in.
That the issue is their problem.

This is what I got back from their local IT guy:

" I spoke to sonicwall again,
According to sonicwall the vpn connection goes through fine, but then the phone or pbx device closes the connection (sending a “FIN” ) to close the connection."

Does anyone have a clue as to what's going on ?
Kinda desperate.

Thanks
Did they change any of the private addressing in the sonicwalls? I know sometimes when things like this occur, they change the internal ip scheme. Does it all match identical to what it used to be? Also do you have all the other ip addresses in 838 for the systems?

What devices are setting up and tearing down the VPN? It might be in those connections.

Everything is programmed in 838
Supposedly everything on cust side is the same

No idea what tears down VPN connections

We had a customer who had firebox brand firewalls. they would crash the vpn tunnel if they saw too much traffic, or if there was too much of a delay in response from the other side of the vpn. Not too bad for PCs as they would barely notice the crash and rebuild. IP phones on the other hand were very angry about it.

It is probably time to do some packet captures.

Double check that they have setup vpn tunnels from each site to each site.
I've seen cases where they only vpn back to ho from the remote sites.

It also sounds like the vpn is on demand and not permanent, if there is to much delay on the vpn setup the call will fail as it times out.
