I have a 7030 that wasn't booting. Popped it on the bench and connected to the sio. Seems to be in the standard corrupt file system. Crashes when it gets to starting the mp30
I'm having issues getting it to load the new boot file.Just using the standard os7030 filesystem upgrade instructions, but when it tries to download the bootfile, it times out. TFTP server looks to be listening correctly.

It is quite an old 7030. Installed in '13 and had 4.40.

Now, I can't actually ping the 7030 unless I let it begin the boot process

Is there a step between that needs to happen?

TIA

The error in HT is ARP count exceeded; starting again

Never seen that error. Sounds like it can't resolve your tftp server ip.
Did you set the correct ip agrees for the tftp server and 7030?
I found connecting the pc/laptop direct to the system is best.

Yeah, directly connected. Followed the process in the PPT exactly, even using the same IP addresses.

Not sure, if never had an issue other than a dodgy lan port on my laptop.

You did save the ip/tftp address if you changed them?
It's been a few years since I've done one.

What firmware are you trying to load onto it?

Was just trying to do the first step up to 4.93.

Gave up and sent it to Telesource.

Thanks for the help though!
