We have a big job coming up and need to get 10gig certified. We use Hubbell equipment for the most part. Does anyone have info on getting certified for 10gig installation.

You don't get certified for "10Gig", per se. You need to become a Certified Installer for a specific manufacturer and then they will certify the projects you do.

If you don't hold any mfg certs then you should contact one of them and tell them what you are planning to do.

Have you already WON this project or are you just bidding it?

We are in the proccess of bidding the job, but the customer wanted to make sure that we were certified so they would get the warranty.

From having done this sort of thing in the past my suggestion is to pick the vendor of the product that you have submitted and approach them for the CERT. this is most often nothing more than a couple hours of product familiarity and some hands on punching, crimping, terminating and testing...

The bigger the job the more they would seem to help BTW...

Depending on the manufacturer, they may have a limit to the number of authorized installers in each region. You may need to investigate a few different manufacturers to see which will give you the training and authorized installer status.
