I see so many different prices out there for these crimps I usually buy the more expensive ones Platinum tools just wondering what others are using

Amazon wants 67.00 for 100

I use Tech Tool Supply (www.techtoolsupply.com) They are close to me and the prices are in the $40/100 for the connectors only. I still have a box of strain relief pieces that I have had for about 3 years smile

I just got email from someone who is also selling the system, maybe Specialized, and it was competitive.

TTS has dealer pricing on purchases.

I think the pass through's were made for people who don't use a regular crimp tool on a regular basis. The last company I worked for only had the pass through connectors because the techs had a hard time making them correctly.

I got them because I was tired of recrimping plugs because on of the 8 wires slipped during the crimp process and was just a tad short smile

It's also a good verification if some lunatic used his own color scheme and you need to double check the order.

As a Professor in college told me years ago: "If you don't know how to spell a word correctly, at least spell it incorrectly every time. That way it shows you don't know how to spell the word rather than you're just stupid"

Same applies

The last time I guessed at the color code, as in, just use 568-B like I always do, it didn't work. Uh oh, maybe 568A, no, some homegrown code and I have no clue where the other end was. So, after further review, I just matched the code from the end I cut off and it worked. What was it? Who cares! The site was 2 hours away and I had 12 AP's to reprogram.
Of course, the reason I had to do that is because the owner just picked IP's out of a hat as 184.101.176.1 or some such random illegal IP addresses. When I was done, I had 12 numbers 10.0.0.1 to 10.0.11.1. Worked like a charm.

I found the email. Intellinet FastCrimp is their brand name. It looks like it's the same as Paladin. Both the tool and 100 Cat-6 crimps wholesale for less than $66 the pair.
