Hello All,
Forgive me if its clear that I dont know what I'm talking about. I rarely am required to run fiber and have lost contact with the tech I have previously used.
I am looking at terminating LC connectors onto what I think is 62.5 multimode.
I think I cleave, clean, and terminate correctly but do not get transmission down the fiber with my VFL. Obviously, I am doing something wrong.
Are there any local techs who can give me a lesson?
Let me know how much $ you would need for I expect less than an hour of your time.
thanks

Happy to help if you want to fly up to Calgary flyhigh

Other than that, make sure you clean the tight buffer off completely before you cleave. The cleave can be the trickiest part if you're using the beaver tail style of cleaver...

Leviton field terminated ends are good because they can be reused.
