We have an IVX 128 plus at a location and when you go into the company directory and hit # to get transferred to a particular user it sends you to the guest mail boxes instead.
So if the user is 109 it will transfer you to 309. Does anyone know possibly the feature that was done to do this? Using access and admin I can see no where where it references extension 309.
under recording of names, you can get to this using the admin password thru the phone, put in ext 109 and see what ' key ' number is assigned to the ext.
It is under the directory listing ...after you record the name it asks for the corresponding key. Check both mailboxes.
I also cannot disable EXT 309 or even EXT 109 from the menu they are shaded out. I believe EXT 109 is key 1 and 309 is set to 0.
Thanks for the ideas.
I never use the programming software...try it through the phone.
For some reason EXT 309 just will not delete from the directory. I'm not sure what the issue is. It has no voicemail and when you type in "309" it says no mailbox found. I've never run into this issue with an ESI system.
I mainly program through the phone as well but somethings are a little easier with the software when you need a "map" of system parameters.
you could also look in the options for ext 109 and see if it is Blocked from the auto attendent, usually though if it were it would go to the Operator ext, maybe 309 is setup as the Operator?
