Having problems with 6 Configured Phones in System as Remote Phone, Put in Mac Address and works when plugged internally into the Network. When taken to External Network , Phone Mirrors another working phone. Is there a firmware update or something i need to fix this issue? I have 6 IPFP2 Phones doing the same thing. Phone Screen shows ESI IP FP3 V2.8 on the Screen when Powered on. and a CRC:ED5A.

This is exactly what happens if you point the Remote phone to the wrong UDP port. Remember each IVC card has its own UDP port.
You MUST make sure the MAC addresses and UDP ports in form 31 are dead on. You need to make sure your router at the location where the system is located has port forwarding open up to the IVC UDP ports specified in form 822. Make sure you have licensing in form 81.

Ok i might be misunderstanding the process. I put in the Remote IP of the PBX, i put in the IP Address of the phone. For that i just used a 192.168.0.178 address since thats on the router at the remote site. As far as Gateway IP do i put the router's gateway in there? and i left the ip subnet mask 0.0.0.0.
The subnet mask can't be 0.0.0.0. The phone and system must be able to find each other.

How are you programming the IP remote phones?

Can you explain that better?? It mirrors another working phone meaning you can make and take calls??
You need to program form 31 and form 822. The information in form 31 has to be the IP address assigned locally, the WAN address of the NSP/Cabinet/IVC and the correct UDP ports and MAC address of each phone.

Form 822 has to have the IVC with it's own local IP address, Gateway address, WAN address, MAC address and it's own unique UDP port.

The router for the network has to have open UDP ports for the IVC.

Ok so i set the IP Mac Address and Subnet mask. Right UDP Port and all and it still comes up as Ext 154 and the phones programmed to Ext 178, when on internal ip network works fine. External IP network comes up as 154. The Phone Line quality is garbled and the phone calls are garbled. Any way to Hard Reset the Phone and Start from Scratch on Programming it.
The phone operate on the MAC level on the same network as the IVC. Are you sure you don't have the same MAC address programmed in for both extensions. Have you connected to the phone with ESI Addresser and set it?

If you are an ESI dealer, you can get the remote phone programmer. It works with XP. You can directly access the remote phone's data with it.
