Here's an interesting problem that I have not encountered before. I have a customer with a new CS 50 using 60 button phones. The owner has a 60 button remote phone at home. The link is constantly resetting itself. The phone may be up for an hour and then it resets itself. Sometimes, it is only up for a minute or two.

The Link runner shows a good connection at both the office and home location. There are two different ISPs, but I have hundreds of remote phones at various customer's homes and remote offices with different ISPs and, some in different states and none of them has this problem.

Yes, I changed the remote phone, and the network switches at both locations. I also traded out the CS 50 cabinet with a new one, same results. The cabinet, IVC and phone have static IP addresses as well as the Office router. The home router WAN is dynamic but the phone is static.

I would wireshark it. Also, does anyone else use THIS ISP? Sometimes they block UDP traffic.

I have another 50 with several 48 key remote phones working out of this same ISP and I only have one problem and that is that they will reset at midnight.

Well, if this isn't amazing. For the past 72 hours, the phone has not rebooted and is working like it should. I guess, maybe, I should write about all the problems I'm tasked to fix and maybe they will correct themselves. :-)
