One of the few but somewhat common defects of Gen 2 Iwatsu phones is no speaker output. Does the Speakerphone mode work? If not reconnect the speaker on the circuit board inside the phone. I've done that and the phone is still ok a couple years later, and I've had it fail again a few months later. My policy is 2 strikes it's out (replace phone).
Could it be something simple like DND is set, or, if there's a DSS unit, is it set to show page 2, when NIGHTS is active on page 1?
