I have the following problem:
after try to reset to default using hyper terminal, it look that the system is in some kind of loop, every time Itry to connect back to program with hyper terminal as soon press escape key the screen start scrolling down same information over and over. I wonder if the CPU is damage or just need procomm plus to program?

To be certain, I would wait until one of the experts chimes in here, but I have heard of many people having problems with emulating on an IDS using Hyperterminal. Use Procomm Plus.

I think that if you default the system the i/o port comes back up as an operator port. You would have to go back into programming then go to the B screen and remove the port assignment for the operator.

I agree with PVJ. It thinks it is a operator port. Hookup one phone to system (first 8 ports), and a CO line. Call system and transfer yourself to modem (transfer 99). If you have a I/O expansion board on CPU plug into ports 2 or 3.

Good Luck!!

Also yes hyperterminal sucks to program the IDS with you would be much better off with procomm or xtalk.
