Is there any difference in function and programming between a part #15740 (a "LSI"? card) and a part #15750 other than one being newer?
I think that the 15750 has a longer loop limit 2500 vs 2000' if I remember correctly.
The 2 digital stationcards are 15700 (old style and need resistor if to close to switch) and 15750 (newer card).
the 15740 is a 12 port single line card. You can put a piggy-back message waiting Board on it or DTMF board. It needs a tri-output power supply to work.
Good Luck!!
No the 12 port sli card is a 15540.Is the 15740 was that possibly the surface mount version?Didn't Executone finally get into the 90's and produce some smt cards before they disappeared?
You got it PVJ. The 15740 is an SMT 12 port digital station card. It has the same functionality as the rev E and newer 15750. The Rev A-D 15750s are the long drive 29KD killers. I have seen the 15740 number listed somewhere though as a single line card, in a tech note from 1998 or something. Bizarre.

FYI: The newer SMT Digital Station Card draws more current then the older In-Line Cards. In a fully loaded 108 they can blow fuses. It took me 10 days and lots of fuses to figure this one.
I knew that they were both digital station cards. I just had a customer insisting that they had to have the 15740 (as that was the card that they are replacing). I had one that I sold to them, but I thought I would check with the experts before I swore to anyone else that they are functionally the same.

Never seen the 15740 card. As Doug stated I have a Tech-Fact that states it is a 12 port single line card with message waiting lights.
That is what I love about this job, you learn something new every day.
Is this a misprint? It wouldn't be the first.
Jeez, I have 1 of each in my hand.
Care to take bets?
This card provides lightening protection. This was one of the last executone enhancements.
Lightning protection on a station card?? Seems like a waste of time. Most hits come in through the COs.

I have only ever seen lightning protection on the OPX card.
I think what he means is you are not supposed to be able to short a port by wiring it wrong. It has gas tubes or something, (maybe just hot air, cha cha cha) It's a complete crock. You can short them out.
