My first telecom job beginning in '92 thru '95 was with Executone. I remember going to Milford CT to be certified on the VX2, first time I flew. I haven't touched an IDS until now. I'll be replacing one with an NEC 9100. My question, because I don't remember, is can the port/extension information be accessed from the 228? I need to make a cut sheet an ID all of the extensions at the MDF. Thanks

Yes you go to the F-Screen and it will show what port is associated with what extension number on the station cards
You just have to note what and where the jumpers are going from each card to the KSU/MDF and you can tell from there.

If need more information let me know.
