Hi MacGyver,
Thank you for the nice welcome. I can imagine due to your nickname that you can fix anything! Are you familiar with phone bill auditing? Most people aren't and don't realize there are so many savings that can be obtained on their phone bills. I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,

Hey Barbara welcome Next time a customer tells me they can't get any satisfaction with the LEC I'll direct them to this board and category. Sounds like this will be a good service for the end users too.

Thanks for the nice welcome. I'm going to enjoy working with all of you. I will be glad to help any customer and will help them save 35-40% on their phone bills with an audit. Most people have no idea there can be such savings on their bills without carrier changes ... but we do audits every day and I can still hardly believe the errors and mistakes we find on bills. I can give advice and will help with training any company that wants to do their own detailed telecom audit as well. We don't sell our software but give it with the audit or with training so they can keep accurate records and get any refunds they are due with our help and documentation.

Keep in touch and thanks again! :thumb:

I also own a Business Brokerage/Mergers & Acquisitions firm. Contract law, recasting financials and auditing books is second nature. :read: It's just not nearly as much fun as playing with transmitters, and collapsable circuits.

It's great to have you here. I'm looking forward to reading the posts.

I'm sure this will be an interesting topic as time goes on.

Another wonderful Christmas present from the people that make this board available. wink

Thanks for the update MacGyver. I look forward to talking with you more about your multi-talents in books and circuits. You sound like an interesting person.

MacGyver was one of my favorite shows back when smile If you ever get any bills that look like they need to be reviewed I'd be happy to go over the tariffs for you.

Have a good evening,
Barbara

Dear KLD,
Thanks for the welcome. I think this was a great idea and I've been pondering doing something like this for years ... just to educate the public about the errors and tariff violations found in bills. I'm looking forward to great issues and lots of good information to display here.

Keep in touch!

Anyone on this site is welcome to fax me any bills for free consultation and advice.

Hope to talk with you soon,
Barbara

Welcome Barbara
Can you help me explain to my customers why they have to pay anywhere from 1.3 to 5.9 cents a minute for long distance from there office phone, but can make the same call from there cell phone for free? (of course not free cause they are paying for minutes) It is something my customers are looking at going with other CLEC's (IP based like CentricVoice and Vonage) more and more even if just with 2-3 lines just for LD.

Dear DNRcom,
Thank you for the welcome. In response to your customers placing long distance with Internet providers and cell phones - I know it seems unfair. The rates will always be higher with LEC (local provider) since the calls are switched and must pass through the LEC - Each LEC charges a fee each time they switch the call through the Central Office and they pass that on to the IXE (Interexchange Carrier aka long distance carrier). With the internet there is little fee from carriers like Vonage, etc since they only have to pay for equipment but exclude the local providers and their fees.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Barbara
I'm just happy to have a blond on board. Today is my birthday and I'm going up to once more buy my transition from gray back to blond. I may have to buy my blond, but its still my blond.

Two blonds are standing on opposite sides of the river. One calls across to the other, "Hey, how do I get to the other side?"

The blond stares and stares at her in disbelief. "Are you crazy or something, you are on the other side."

Welcome Barbara: Here's something to consider. NuVox has started using Sonus for some of their long distance. https://www.sonusnet.com/contents/solutions/apps/apps_longdistance.cfm

They package LD a lot like cell companies lately. NuVox is also offering a VOiP service that works like PRI and connects like PRI. Some of thier techs have lost their jobs over protesting the problems with supporting both Sonus and VOXIP.

Dear Bunnie,
Thanks for the cute joke. I'm glad this board has a sense of humor smile

Dear Mark,
Thanks for the info on NuVox. We don't sell any ld services or Voip but we do provide the audit of the bills. Always good to know the latest info.

Keep in touch,

My company actually does the audits and the local, ld services, IP trunking, pt to pts, internet T-1's and so forth. Good info on the NuVox!

VOXIP has been temporarily stoped. THey are not selling it right now due to problems. Nuvox is great for your normal T-1/PRI service, but the VOXIP stuff is on hold until they fix their problems.
