I have a potential customer with a DSC problem. I do not know DSC, any insight on this subject before I go out there would be appreciated.

She says the installer told her not to put a 0 in her code, she did it anyway, and used it, now she says her system will not do anything at all. She also says when the power goes off and comes back on the alarm sounds and her code will not cut it off.

I did find a user manual on it, it says you can have digits 0-9.

Thanks in advance.

She has to restore proper date and time befour she can use a system after power outtage.

DSC has not manufactured that panel for many years now.

Regardless, using a zero in the code had no ill effects what-so-ever that I'm aware of.
But it sounds as if you have a major system problem that can only be repaired by replacing the system with a new system.

I agree with Bobby. The zeroes shouldn't be a problem.

It sounds as if the program is corrupted or defaulted.

Might see if the default user code works. If it does, the program is defaulted.
