I'm looking for a device (infrared/beam/magnet) that when someone walks through the door to the business it sends a chime so they know someone has entered. No push buttons, no motion sensors.

Any suggestions?

I think you can get them in Radio Shack and Home Depot.

Radio Shack used to make model 49-311, but it seems to be MD.

Great find Arthur but I don't have AC power at each side of the doorway. I know, I know I'm cheap. Have you seen the price of gas lately? laugh

Maybe I'm a retard but I can't find any of the sort at HD or Lowe's. Only motion sensor door bells or push button.

Run a piece of quad from the nearest outlet. Put the wall wart there.

What does it have to do with the price of gas? I don't understand the connection.

How about this ?
