So, my work was thinking about getting an access control system. I talked to my brother, who does alarms, security, access conrol, etc, and he like to use Kantech.

But the guy I work for is crazy for IP. IP cameras, VoIP, ectc. He really wanted a system that is as IP as you can get. If the entry points run over ethernet POE it would be a big plus. Biometric I think would also make him happier.

I think there is nothing like some good old fashion hard wired system for security/access needs, but he wants something as high tech as possible.

Since we are only looking at 2 external entry points, a large enterprise solution would be way to costly.

I am just fishing for ideas for him to google.

Thanks!
I haven't read all the specs yet (a bit late right now) but looks like what he was looking for.

I need a Tech who can help me install a Viking Aes-2000 in Ardmore Pa. I am replacing another system and the wiring is done.I cannot get the electromagnetic door to open.
