I always thought that the 82A and 82B connecting blocks for the 4A Speakerphone were interchangeable. Not so. The 82Bs work fine on single line and 6 button sets, but I can't get the 82A to work. Can't find any specific reference in the BSPs I've checked. Anyone have an idea why or what I would need to make it work? Or better yet, have any spare 82Bs? Appreciate the help - haven't run into this before!
I haven't seen the Comdial tech bulletin for years. I will look to see what I can find.
Try these two files:

Here is a great source for everything BSP's:

But you probably already knew that...
Hi, thanks for the BSP links. Essentially they say both 82 blocks are the same, the 82B just exposes some speakerphone leads. This is what happens when the connecting blocks are switched: Using the 82A with several 2565s and the speakerphone would not turn on. Heard the click in the loudspeaker but no light on the transmitter and it just did not work. I changed the block back to an 82B and it worked fine. I tried different working 4As with the same result. So I'm open to the easy path of just using 82Bs!
