Gentlemen,

I don't have the manual out in front of me but I believe I read you need as optional piece of equipment to get caller ID to display on the CTX System display phones?

Also I am still trying to find the Feature key programming codes that define a key's function. I don't see it in the manuals I have. Is there a help file in the programming software? I have that and I am programming the system but I don't have those key code definitions. As always any help is much appreciated

Thanks
FLDIVER

If I remember, there is a list of them in the back of the user manual.

Yes there is a box that needs ot be hooked up to the serial port for caller ID

Yes you need a:
  • Tel Control, Inc TC-1041 MLX-42 4-line caller identification interface
  • Tel Control, Inc TC-1082 MLX-82 caller identification interface

One is for 4 lines and the other for 8 lines. You can chain them together.

I am thinking that you also need S5.FXX software for caller ID.

The Caller ID box connects to the RPM RS-232 of the CTX and the baud rate would be set at 9600.

Feature Key Programming: Function, #, 3

This will allow you to view and/or change a button.

The code for Feature Code Look up is Function # 5
