We have a coral ipx 500 with Coral flexset phones. A secretary with hearing aids is having a hard time hearing on the handset. What is a good solution for this?

I assume the end user is new to hearing aids.

Most handsets these days have a 'telecoil' built into them and claim that they are Hearing Aid Compatible however the general problem is finding the Sweet Spot on where to hold the handset. Generally you want to hold the handset a little away from the ear. [Cell phones are the hardest.]

If the end user has CIC (complete-in-canal) hearing aids, then a headset that is Over the Ear should work. I know, I know "I don't like that style, it messes up my hair."

You can always try searching Plantronics for compatible headsets and then direct the customer to the site, that way you don't get involved if they don't like it and want to change to to a different style. No use being the middle-man.

My Grandson wears HA, he has a very hard time on the phone. Txt is how he communicates .
He has top of the line HA , phone does not sit well, he can use a over the head , headset with no problem.

Ken, there is a telephone available for people with hearing problems that has audio to text. It works very good unless the caller talks real fast and mumbles.

The phone is FREE and I use it. It's great for the answering machine (separate device), I hold the handset next to the answering machine, press the call caption button on the phone, then the play on the answering machine. It voice message is transcribed to text on the screen. It's great for those calls where all you can do is shake your head and hope they call back because you don't know who "Hi, it's me" is!

I have a problem finding the sweet spot to hear on handsets, but cell phones are horrible.
Headsets I can hear real good and also bluetooth in the car.
