Whoever can help with the problem, many thanks in advance and forever more. We are cutting over a system and have run into a snag that could be a big problem.

We are install a mitel 5k with 3.2 software. Because of the building complex, ip phones were the only way to go.

According to tech support, this should have work, but it doesn't. I am asking the experts of the board for help.

We are deploring the new mitel ip phones. According to the documentation, the 5324 is suppose to support a pkm 48 as a side dss to the phone.

Unit doesn't need the power supply because we are using a poe switch.

Phone comes working without a problem. The dss is what is holding things up. It doesn't work, bottom right hand corner led is dimly lite but no operation.

Tech support wants to do an upgrade which will be done tomorrow.

Tech support is tring to be helpful but they aren't sure what the fix will be. Units are to new.

If anyone can help on resolving the problem I will gladly buy the beer and be forever thankful for the help and the board.

Cut was put off until tomorrow because of the dss. help help

Thanks

Mike

Manual says the PKM Interface Module must be "V2". Not sure where it is marked as such, but that is most likely yer problem.

Also did you program the station to support the PKM?
System\Devices and Feature Codes\Endpoints\Specific Endpoint\Attached Device.

Thanks for the feedback. Upgrade took care of the dss issue. After the upgrade, the phones got the new update and the dss took off.

Frustrated when the stuff doesn't work and you can;t get to work the way it should.

Units were programmed correctly. Question was if the dss needed the power supply for it. and that is why it wasn't coming up.

Again thanks,

Mike
