We have 3 IP phones that connect remotely to our system. Today 1 of the 3 stopped working. Unable to connect to UDP port 5567.

The 2 other phones still work fine. I called our ISP and they also cannot connect to 5567. Why would the other 2 phones connect and one does not?

Try to default the phone. If that doesn't work, unplug it and let it sit for a few minutes.

Excuse my ignorance. What do you mean by default the phone and how would I do this?

Is the fone getting DHCP or are you sure that it is statically assigned correctly?

I did not set the phone up as I just took over 7 months ago. Due to the bad weather in our area I have not spoken with the user since he stated he had a problem. I believe it is using DHCP. I will have to confirm this.

This is very strange to me so maybe someone can help clear this up.

IP connections lists the Ports 5004, 5566, 5567, 2427, 5570 and 80.

The Static IP is set to 10.10.1.205
The Firewall is mapping the ports to 10.10.1.99??

Why would this be? Does the phone system get a static IP which may be 10.10.1.99 then the IP connection gets a different static IP of 10.10.1.205?

Where in the phone system can I see what the static IP would be? I can't seem to find it.

Anyone else have any suggestions here? I spoke with our ISP to see if this users IP had been blocked. They have since allowed all IP's to TCP and UDP ports 5566/5567. This user is still not able to connect.

I am having the user do a tracert and telnet session to see if we can find a problem in the connection.
