Hi Everyone,

I have a relatively small Axxess phone system here in my office. It's directly connected via a T1 with our main phone system in another part of the country. For cost tracking purposes, I need to have all of our long distance calls routed through that main office. I've already gotten international calling set up like that.

Local calling should be easy, but all calls in the Detroit Metro area require 11 digits (1-xxx-xxx-xxxx). To make matters even worse, there are 4 area codes around here, and each area code has some exchanges that are local, and some that are not. I have a list from my telco of all exchanges in this area that are local, so that's not a problem. To give you an example, I want any call going to 1-248-545-xxxx(a local call from this office) to go use the main lines here. At the same time, I want calls going to 1-248-841-xxxx(not local) to go through the the switchboard in our corporate office 4 states away.

I hope that someone can make sense of this! The tech that I normally work with on this is stumped.

Assuming this is 5.1 and above, go to Route groups, to number 4 that should be Toll Local, and to Dial Patterns, and list all the local 11 digit dialing there. Verify that the Facility Group is correctly set up for that, to include your Local Trunk Group. Might also check to find a better tech from your area.
Let me know if you need any more help.
If system is under version 5.1, let me know.
