Have a peculiar problem I can't seem to find the answer to. Using an Inter-Tel 5000, V1.2.5.111 via DB Studio.

Internally, the phones ring 12 times before transferring to voicemail. Externally through the PRI they ring 4. I can't find where this can be changed anywhere in DB Studio. There should be some where to change it, but I just can't seem to find it in all of the archaic options they have listed.

Thanks,

Jim

Are you using separate forwarding paths for CO and IC calls?

Look in Voice Processor/Timers and limits/Timers and limits. There are two No Answer settings by number of rings. Notification and Transfer.

One CO ring is 6 seconds in length, and 1 IC ring is 2 seconds in length, so I would guess that your timer is set at 24 seconds which would give you 4 rings on an outside call and 12 rings internally. They can be adjusted, but will work together. Tho as dfleschute was inferring, you can trick the system and make it ring twice to one of them.
