Besides cloning a EVMC Linux drive. Does anyone out there provide their own in house built drives with Linux already on it for replacement purposes? If so what do you use? Would cloning a drive be considered a breach with Inter-Tel? Just asking, I am upgrading a EVMC/Linux system this afternoon and just wondering. The Linux Based EVMC I & M says nothing about getting an OS onto the drive. I am sure they (Inter-Tel) wants to sell the drives to the dealers.

Thanks

The EVMC uses a custom build of Red Hat. I dont see how you will easily do this. I have never even tried it and honestly I wouldnt mess with it. The time and aggreavation to try to pull this off wouldnt be worth it IMO. It was the same thing on the older OS2 versions. Getting the OS loaded was a major PITA and by the time you pay your tech to figure it out you could have been done and on to the next task.
