I'm a little out of my element here I will admit. We have a very old InterTel system i'd say from 2000-2001 and one of the managers has had one of these 770.4500 phones at his home for quite some time, a few years back it stopped working because the IP settings are completely incorrect on the phone for our VPN, etc. No matter what I do i do not seem to be able to change any of the settings.

I've tried.

hitting 7 & 8 while the phone is booting
holding 7 & 8 while the phone is booting
telnetting to 192.168.200.202
-the session connects but then drops
web browsing to 192.168.200.202
-a username/password screen comes up and conviently nobody here knows what the password/username is.

if anyone knows how i can change the IP/subnet/gateway on this thing I would be really appreciative. E-mail or PM me or simply post here if you have any ideas.

thanks.

The older phones had the option to push the config to the phone from the IPC/IPRC database upon first connect. No matter what you do if this option is set the phone will get wiped out with those "learned" settings. You'll have to get into the card first and check the config.
