I have the task of setting up our phone system to work with 2 companies but 1 set of employees. I have a few task that I would like to see if I can accomplish. I will start with this one.

We have a full PRI T1.

Is it possible to setup the system to show two separate caller id's via separate trunk groups or another way? We would like to be able to make outgoing calls from several stations but choose how we show up on the other end.

Generally speaking, your outbound Caller ID is controlled by your service provider. I've tried changing the outbound Caller ID in the Station Programming. It did not work.

You can IF your Telco can trunk group the PRI AND maintain the single D-channel AND assign different BTN's to each trunk group.

The last time we tried it on a PRI, AT&T said no problem but couldn't deliver. They ended up installing a Flex PRI for the second group.

As for the Calling Party Number field dfleschute is referring to, yes you can modify outbound caller ID on a per station basis, not a per call basis. In other words, if you modify a station to send out 888-555-1212 then all calls will send this out. You can do this because you have a PRI, but it's not exactly what you're looking for either.

This is a lot easier on E&M T1's. Sorry.
