I have a client that wants to upgrade their Axxess. They currently have 4.4. They are asking me what added features they would get if they upgraded. Do any of you have documentation that describes what features were added with each software version above 4.4? Also, I need to migrate them to an EVMC as well. Upgraded vm features would be helpful as well.

It doesn't have to be documented, just a list of features that I could tell them would be benificial.

What version are they going to? Some secondary market systems might sell a v.7, but not v.11.

If they go to the latest and greatest, I'd say from an end-user's perspective, the Intelligent Directory feature is the best improvement. Call Logs is another significant feature, but it's useless w/o caller ID. If they have multiple locations, they can 4-digit dial via IPRC and share dialtone as well.

The voicemail is the same old same old - except the in v.7 where they added a voice prompt from Inter-Tel (You've reached the Inter-Tel voice processing system) that you can disable in programming. Remote messaging is the same.

The one thing I don't like so much about the EVMC is that it has mailbox licensing via PAL, so think ahead for future growth and make sure to plan accordingly with the correct mailbox PAL.

I'll see about finding you a list with feature changes between system versions.

I just sent you an email with the white papers for each version.

That is perfect! Thank you

Can you post those white papers here for the rest of us, or e-mail it to me?

I'll resend the docs to your email in a moment. I don't want to 'publish' anything that might be viewed as copywrite infringement.

Might sound silly, but I know someone who actually got sued for such a thing!
