I'm looking at this system again to replace a KSU less system at one of my customers. It's a restaurant. First, I'm looking for general thoughts from those of you with experience with them.

They want the new system to have auto attendant. I've set up auto attendant systems in the past but they were the Panasonic hybrid systems years ago. I don't think the routing tree will be that expansive or complicated. The one thing that the old Panasonic had that even the newer ones didn't was ring groups. Will the X16 support ring groups? I mean if the caller selects the option to place a carry out order, can more than one extension ring? Are these units (the telephone side) pretty durable? I'm sure I'll have other questions but I thought I start a thread before I get one. I thought I'd try to pick up a cheap used unit to do some testing off eBay but nothing really there.

Thanks

Hosted is the way to go

Well, she signed a 2-year agreement with Verizon less than a year ago.

No on the ring groups, handsets hit the floor a couple times and the components come loose. Nice basic system.

She would use Verizon internet for Hosted Phones

The contract was for telephone lines.

Bill, do you have direct experience with them?

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, I've installed several, but not for the last couple years, I'm sure they haven't added new features like call groups. I've found the least expensive place to get them is telcodepot. I would tell the customer to purchase and I'd just do the install, so didn't have to deal with the warranty as margins were so low it wasn't worth messing with.

Sounds like a good plan. Thanks

Looking at the X25 now. That supports ring groups and isn't that much more expensive-$XXX for the cpu and 5 telephones.

I don't think you can list pricing . You may want to edit your post

X-25 is a Voip system.

The lady I spoke to yesterday said I could use the X25 on standard Verizon lines. She also said that if we decide to get phone service from Comcast, the X25 would work and it would be just a matter of running the telephone outputs from the Comcast modem to the X25 line inputs. Are you referring to the telephone side? I'm also looking at the SYN248, which is definitely VOIP on the telephone side. This setup would probably be easier.

Thanks
