Bitch #1: Found out this week that XBlue has discontinued all colours of their X-16 line except black. Found this out when I called to TRY and get a replacement blue handset for a phone that was defective New In Box. They were quite willing to sell me a black replacement, which I turned down as I have quite a few parts from defective black phones & I told them so...LOL. Would have been real nice if we'd been given a "head's up" about this...

Bitch #2: XBlue will NOT supply French user guides. (Unknown if they'll supply Spanish). I checked with a local professional translator who would do it for $2500. When I contacted XBlue, they wouldn't pay for it either, so I cancelled the translation job and as a result my perspective sales have taken a major hit. Some people and fanatical about the language laws here in Quebec....

Wow, their unique color choices were what made this system so marketable. You're right, if they are limiting their color choice to only black (like nearly every other manufacturer), they are severely hampering themselves in the market. I suppose in your situation, at least getting a black handset and stripping it for components is better than nothing. I'm still curious about the out of box failure though. I would think that they would at least offer a black one under warranty. There I go assuming.

As for the French documentation, that surprises me as well. If they want to market to other countries, they surely should be prepared to support the language(s) spoken. I'm disappointed in them.

So you can change the language on the phone itself to french, but they don't have a french user guide.

Classy.

You can also used Google Translate for Documents and upload a pdf file.

Images will be lost, but a bit of cut and pasting...

Dean...
Do you have a link for that photo? Maybe they've changed their minds...

When I asked about them supplying or paying for the translation I was told they did only do them in English. Now, THAT's surprising considering the number of Spanish clients they must have...

On the install today, I had 1 phone that "Register Failed" The total length for the 1st 4 phones was maybe, 200 feet, the rest all between 50 & 100 feet. So I pulled out my spare and wouldn't you know it....DEAD on reception. You'd think they'd at least plug them in before boxing them.....sheeez...at least that solved my handset problem...

Oh, BTW Daniel, the French prompts that ARE on the phone are of piss poor quality...my 8 year granddaughter could have done better...

Also found out today that the X-16 doesn't support Call Forward to an extension....Now that's stupid....

About the four colors, made sales real easy. .j took out 1 of each color and let them pick.

Sometimes even mix the colors . Was great sales tool.

I don't have "Translate to French" just "Translate to English" & it's grayed out because it already is in English. Besides, from past experience, Google translate is sub-standard at it's best as shown in your example...

It is no worse that reading the directions from something that was manufactured in China. Those that know the language will have an understanding.
