Is it possible to repair the mechanical Western Electric 500 dials? I just bought a 500 that has a 'sticky' dial that will not return properly.

Thanks in advance!

Ive had good luck with WD40 on sticky dials

I'd rather use a light machine oil instead of WD-40, and be especially careful not to get it on the contacts or the contact pileup. You can actually send your dial to a fellow in Arizona, who will repair and recalibrate it for about $6.

Hi Touch Tone Tommy,

Do you know where I can find his info? 6 or even twenty dollars is a real bargan as far as I am concerned.

Thanks for the info!
