Wow, Thanks for the info, I was going to do that upgrade soon!

Was it because of the firewall? I did notice that when I first set the system up that the VM Pro did not work with the firewall on.

I have two sites working with XP-service pack 2 running Voicemail Pro.

The word from Avaya was that they did not support Windows SP2 for Vmail Pro. I just thought the info might be useful.

Update. Avaya doesn't support Voicemail Pro on Windows XP period. Suggest Server 2003.

That is news to me, The installer put in IP Office and VM Pro on Win XP machine at my site. If they do not support it what do I do now?

Go to number 15 in this document and it tells you that Avaya does in fact support VMPro in XP pro and XP Home.

I totally agree, however in discussions with Avaya they are saying that XP is not technically a server platform and could (possibly, with heavy use) turn vmail into a zombie which requires a reboot. They have suggested server 2000 or 2003.

That makes sense! I guess on the next 3 installs that I have here I will insist that we have Win2003 Server

This is from our documentaion at Avaya:

Check the following requirements before installing the voicemail software
onto the voicemail server PC. The software is installed from the IP Office
Administrator CD.
PC
The PC used as the voicemail server should have:
• A Windows 98 (2nd Edition), NT4 (SP6), 2000 (SP2) or XP
Professional PC.
• A Pentium 166MHz or higher.
• A 100Mbps network card is strongly recommended.
• It is strongly recommended that the server PC is dedicated to this task
and is located in a non-public area.
• Installation on the same PC as being used for IP Office Manager is
recommended.
• Switch off any PC and hard disk sleep/power down modes.

ok i am having issues right now with an IPOffice install. The company that is doing the install can not find the minimum requirements for CCC server or Voicemail Pro server. Can anyone tell me what they are or where to find them? We have had to delay the install because of this.

Thanks in advance

How current is that? I saw something that said 2.8 GHz. We are currently looking for the most recent specs for VM Pro and CCC. Can anyone help?
