Have an older Partner Plus phone system and am going to replace it with the ACS 6.0 system plus a voicecard (large). Since all our lines and phones are already installed, We are hoping this won't take too long. Just wanted an estimate of how long this might take? Will be installing the processor, expansion module, new carrier, and voice card. Does it take long to install the software and initialize it?
Thanks!

It goes pretty fast, the longest part will be programming the new system which goes fast as well if you are familiar with programming the Partners.

Thank you for replying. Do you think it will take a couple of hours or less/more? I am familiar with the programming on the older Partner Plus system due to power failures and dead battery. Found the factory defaults saved me a lot of time.

If there is room on the wall for the new system, and the old cables will reach to that location. Set the new system up on the wall, program the system ahead of time, and the voice mail. When done, unplug the old cables and plug into the new system. Down time should be about 30 seconds per ext. and line. If they will not reach, you could try using a coupler and another cord to reach. Make sure and use 2 pair couplers and cords. Feel free to email me using the subject: "Partner ACS" if you have any questions.

Just plug the new processor in an outlet by extention 10 and Plug another Phone into the new extention 10 then just scroll through the programming in the old system and enter the info into the new system. You can even sit there anr record the greetings. Then it ij just a metter of swapping the modules
