I am trying to set outcalling to a pager on reciept of voice mails.
I belive I followed the instructions but I have not built this configuration
before.
Are there any issues/conflicts using a revision 7 Messaging Module with
a revision 6.0 ACS?
Is there something not mentioned in the instructions that I should simply
know but am unaware of, i.e. do I have to tell the system to pick a
particular line to dial out on?
Make sure you include a 9* before the dial out number and Set the Start and stop time.
when you program the out dialing to the
beeper you will have to factor in the time
in pauses how long it takes the beeper to
answer b4 your send the beep #

a string i just did is
9*5551212****1233245 #
you will have to play with * that are pauses
i assume the mail box has outca1ling permission and is turned on in mail box
Outcalling to pagers is especially diffulcult, because sometimes the paging company picks up on the first ring, sometimes the 2nd ring. Use your butt set on monitor on the 1st outside line to listen to the outcalling sequence, and determine the exact time delay needed from the end of the pager's telephone number and the beginning of the display string.

Our pager service was so poor, that my outcalling string looked like this:

9*5551212****1*1*1*1*1*1*1*1*1*1#

I would get anywhere from 1 to all 10 "1"'s in the display, depending on how long it took the service to answer.
