I have a VS Rel 5.0 that has 119 messages in the ext 10 mailbox that won't delete. Does the VS have a system mailbox ie. 9997 like the PartnerMail, or what could be causing this problem.

How in the world did 119 messages get into mailbox 10?!?!!

Unfortunatly, you can't delete mailbox 10. However, through mailbox 99 (the system administrator for VS mail), you CAN reinitalize the mailbox, then re-record the greeting to start over.

This is a PartnerMail VS 5.0. I tried re-initializing the mailbox, but that did not work. I also tried defaulting the system to its original settings which is not working either.

When you say you defaulted the system sre you talking about the VS or the telephone system? If you default the telephone system it won't have any efect on the VS. If you would like I could dial in and see what i can do.

I did a master default of the Voicemail system to erase all settings, but the system did not reset to its initial setting

TTT,
I called in and defaulted the mail, reinitialized the mail box and no matter what you do there is 119 messages in there and won't follow any of the commands you give even though it says it is defaulting and hanging up. He has one weird VS5. I'm sure it has to be the mail that is screwed up. Any thoughts.

All I can say is "WOW!" Sounds like a hard drive is messed up, and probably need to replace the whole voice mail unit.
