We are in need of help if possiable.

I have a question in reference to one of our customer They have an Avaya Definity G3R with a minor alarm that we can not clear the errors are.

Hardware Error Report:

01-Power Error Type: 3840

Test Results:

01-Power Test# 5 Fail Error Code:8

run 'disp er'. Cut and paste the error report. It's much easier to look up errors when you have the maintenance name.

Sounds like the "hold over" batteries are shot...not a big deal they don't do much anyway..only problem is the alarm will stay there and drive your attendant nuts..

Hello guys,

We when ahead and installed replacement battery but the alarm is still there....Not sure what else to do and ideas.

Usually takes anywhere from 48-72 hours for the battery's to charge, that is if your charger is putting out, you might want to check that. If it is alarm should go away after awhile. We usualy do a reset 1 and see if it comes back..quicker that way...
