We got one that CID will stop working only on the analog phones, system phones still show CID.
Do a power cycle, and it will show CID to analog for about 10 to 12 hours before it stops again.
Replaced processor thinking it may be screwy, but the new one does the same thing.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
Thanks,
Is logging turned on for the analog sets?

Yes, it is.
Do you think that might be the problem?
Thanks,
I am taking a stab at yes.
In the R8 manual it says logging is not available for tip and ring devices.
There may be a buffering or storage problem causing the CID to halt.
I may be wandering off the ranch a bit here, but I would try taking the logging off and see what happens.
Good Luck.
We disabled call log and the systems still stops showing CID, only on the analog phones, after about 10 hours or so.
The one in our office does the same thing. This was on a customer site, under warrenity, so we replaced it and are using it in our office. We have Panasonic analog sets connected, what kind are you using.
EnGenius cordless.
The odd thing is, we have another customer with the same set up and theirs works great.
We also have the same sets on other systems and they work fine.
My guess is this is a known issue that will not be admitted to because there are so few complants.
Try putting in a cheap ($19.00) analog corded telephone from Target etc.. to see if it retains the CID.
We put one of those little cheap CID boxes on the system, and it stops showing CID just like the cordless phones do after about 10 hours, then you can power cycle and the CID comes back.
