Customer has an IPO 500v2 Rls7(5). The carrier is PowerNet Global. I spent all day trying to get this to work with no success. I have searched forums, read docs and I am still missing something. Incoming calls eventually ring busy and outgoing calls eventually say "Waiting for Line" in the display. I would love to send someone my config for any suggestions. To be honest guys I have grown very weary in the business. This may be my last straw. I haven't been this aggravated at a system problem in many years. I just can't understand why I can't get it. I called our distributor for support and he was arrogant and referred me to a doc about Broadvox. I called one of our senior techs only to get put off (He was busy) and then he got annoyed that I tried to call him back hours later. I still haven't heard from him. I can usually figure things out but this one has busted me in my chops. :bang: mad

Sounds like you have a couple of issues, starting with your distributor and senior tech...

Who is the distributor?

I have a IPO Tip document that deals with SIP trunks. It may help. PM me your email and I will send it over to you.

More often than not, the problem resides at the router. Do you have the ports opened up?

Have you asked the provider if you are registering with their server? Looking at the config will show nothing. You need to set sysmon to pull traces for SIP info and look at those, they will tell you everything.

Ditto to mongo's comments. The reality is that you need to be strong in IP routing to implement SIP - simply because each customer's network is different. It is even harder when you don't control all of the pieces.

SSA will show you if you're registered with carrier. Once registered, run monitor and set filter to only show SIP messages - this will give you a good starting point for diagnosing. Good luck

I have LAN 2 configured with a public IP and plugged directly into PowerNet Globals router. Our distributor is Catalyst. Z-man I will PM you.

If that's the case, you likely simply need an IP route statement to make it work!

OK, I have incoming working. Outgoing is still not working. I have:
Shortcode
9N
Dial
N
51:SIP
ARS
N; Dial N"@voipsbc.pngcom.com"

The error I am getting is "FindActiveARSByGroupID GroupID=5 - Not Found". And on the phone it says "INCOMPATIBLE".

I don't have a STUN server configured (tryed it with and without). It is set for "Open Internet" and the public internet address is in the Public IP field with port 5060.

Under the Transport tab I am using LAN2 Network Topology.

Under the SIP URI tab I have stars in the first 3 fields and "Use Internal Data" in the PAI field, and incoming/outgoing as 0/0. I also have one with "Use Internal Data" in all fields, and incoming/outgoing as 0/5. I have tried various things with the line groups. They are not using Registration.

I have an IP Route 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0/<IP of Gateway Router>.

I have tried different things that I read here and so far nothing has worked. I am lost and need help. I appreciate any assistance.
