have 9 handsets bases and repeaters in a supermarket, several of the handsets get a beep tone every 2.5 seconds when off hook, users hears it but party called does not, turned off end of range tone already. when i am close to base i dont hear the tone but when i get farther away it starts, i am assuming it is because it is getting handed off to the repeater but then why dont all the handsets do it, also there is a mix of revisions of the repeaters....and yes i know that the design of the system is incorrect, the supermarkets IT dept did the install, they have called us in for help.
