Howdy,

What are the steps for getting the SMDR going on an ACS Processor?

We don't have the 355A adapter but I got this pin out on the internet:

DB9 RJ45
2 ---- 5
3 ---- 6
5 ---- 4
8 ---- 7
7 ---- 8
4 ---- 3
1 ---- 2
9 ---- 1

No CDR output. The tech is blaming the processor and says we need to change it out. I doubt that.

Do we need to use an actual 355A adapter and then what a straight through DB9 or what? Will our pin out above work?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
1) Spend the few bucks and get a 355A adapter. Get a D8W cord too while you are at it.

2) Have you got the programming set correctly?

3) Don't expect to have anything useful from just connecting to a printer. You need call accounting software to massage the raw data.

I'll get one, or scour our warehouse for the 355A.

An 8' Merlin phone line cord- 8p/8pos plugs on both ends. They used those for a lot of things way after the Merlin days.

Cat-5 patch cord, so you don't have to scour the wqrrehouse
