I have worked on this system for 6 years and never had any training. Like an Alzeimers patient, I learn new stuff every day (lol). Anyway, today I noticed the Netcon extensions and have no clue what they are. Can some one teach me what these are good for?
Those are the "data channel's" that are used to communicate with the processor...i.e.; you can access programming via a netcon channel and a data mod...etc; . You must have done a "list data" and said "Huh! what are those for?" should be (4) of em....+ maint ext.

...bob...
Each channel uses 2 extensions.
So theoretically I can dial into the system and massage my programming via a computer.
Is that right?
Its a little more cumbersum than is sounds..you have to use a PDM or data set with a terminal...it's a pain actually. That's why most people use the SAT, RMATS port or a CLAN card....
