I am new to the Avaya IP Office, I just passed the class on the installation last week. The class was light on information on programming the Basic Edition with embedded voice mail. Basically I have a customer that wants to have a night auto attendant forward via a menu option to a cell phone. EG: "For after hours service press 3" and it goes to the number.

Can I do this in the Basic Edition or do I need to move them to Essential?

System: IP Office V2 R9.0
Basic Edition
(2) Combo cards
Embedded VM
Options are limited on Basic edition, I'd ditch it and go to standard Essential mode

However, pick an extension, give it Remote Call Forward, program the after hours service telephone number into a personal speed dial such as 99, and put a Forward-(Extension Number)-99 button on the phone.

When you turn on Night Service, also go to the phone and turn on the Remote Call Forwarding. Set selector code 3 to transfer to this extension, and it should grab a line and dial out.
