customer seems to have had problem after power failure.
Other inter-connect company tells them VM module and 4 port vm card need replacing?
Seems to me 509 card went bad.
Any easy test to determine this without purchasing a 509 card to take with me?
Thanks as always!!
What exactly is the reported problem? What is the software release of the processor (FEATURE 59 from any system telephone with a display)
R7 bunch of red lights flash. Customer cant get to VM. System works for 10 minutes then fails. power back up works for 10 minutes bunch of red lights flash lost paging , transfer feature
If there is a known good configuration stored in the internal memory...or...external PCMCIA card, has a program restore been tried?
If you unseat all other modules and run the processor alone, does the problem return?
Best bet would be to go with the R8 processor as the earlier R7 versions had many problems.
I think I would pull the processor from the cabinet and plug in power cord direct to eliminate everything.
Excluding VM do the phones work ok
phones work but seem to have lost paging, transfer features.
Is the time and date correct? Including the day of the week? I'd bet on a power failure and the system restarting from default
I agree . Reprogram system and everything will probably work and you will be a hero.
