Has anyone had any success making a Pitney-Bowles Postage machine work on an analog port on an MBX?
I don't deal with Vertical equipment but I tried putting one on an NEC 124i analog port as well as an Avaya Partner and it wouldn't work. I ended up having to put it in front of the phone system. They have the most sensitive modems in them I have ever seen.
A lot of analog devices like this look for 48 volts coming from whatever analog port they are using. Most phone systems, including the MBX, send out 24 volts and that keeps some modems from working. That is why I usually share a stand alone fax line with a PB postage machine.
